Left Brain-Right Brain II-Old Post
Left Brain-Right Brain 2
Ok, here are the rest of the exercises. Clasp your hands together tightly to imagine your brains working together. Next, cross crawl looking in all directions: up, down, left and right. If it feels strong and not hard you are switched on.
For reading, writing, across the midline. Draw a big lazy 8 in the air or on a board, first with each hand separately, then with both hands together. This switches on both brains simultaneously. We made the 8's going one direction and then the other. The thing is to move smoothly without stopping.
For listening and memory do a lazy 8 with each arm held against the ear. The whole body moves with it except the arm, shoulders and ear.
Crossing the midline for stress. Hold your forehead on two points above the eyes, between the eyes and the hairline. These positive points switches on the reflex brain when you feel you are trying but not thinking with your whole brain. (Like when I am reading about HTML hehe) When you are stressed and trying to hard, you have too much energy in the try brain. If you can not settle down and get started you are over stimulated and have too much energy in the reflex brain. Do Cook's Hook-ups.
Before reading, you can rub just below the collarbone to the right and left of the sternum, while placing your hand over your navel. Imagine a butterfly on the ceiling and trace its wings with your nose. This helps to focus better. To make your neck stronger, grasp the neck at the sides or back while tracing the wings. Do the skip-a-cross every day. This is like the cross crawl, done to music with a hop and a skip. Don't forget to touch your right hand to your left knee and left hand to your right knee. Stay happy and positive by using words which make you strong; I do my best, I will, I remember, I meet challenges, etc.
To check to see if you are switched on, hold one arm up and have someone push down firmly. If your arm is weak you are switched off. If it is strong and stays up you are switched on. This shouldn't be a war of the wills. Gently but firmly.
This is from the literature I have and what I remember. So don't blame me if your brain still doesn't work after this.

LOL....I'd be too tired for it to work after trying to remember all that. I'll have to remember the "crossing the midline" the next time html gets the best of me.

Well, I had to print them off but it is basically like whatever doesn't work use pressure points and rub it. Oh, oh, that could be dangerous. Lol, forget I said that.

Oh, and your shouldn't do them all at the same time. Do a couple of loosen ups and cooks hook-ups. Then just use whichever one you need the most. Five min. max

Sorry, after I asked you to post all this, haven't had a chance to really look at it...but now that I do, you know it reminds me a lot of yoga. I wonder if that's by design, or coincidence? Thanks for typing all that out, it was fun :-)
