Relatives
Mom just went to see her brother in Florida. She is 84 this year and he is 88. I didn't think she had the stamina because she is always worn out after a couple of hours in the car not to mention she has so many replacement parts we call her the bionic woman. She carries a card so she doesn't have to go through the security at the airport. If she did you would be hearing alarms go off from Oklahoma to Texas.
She is back and did fine. She said her poor old brother was just shuffling around. My daughter said grandma wasn't exactly running any races. I know I am my mother and I will be looking around thinking look at that old fart while I am doin the bus stop to Le Freak with my clip on IPod in the middle of the mall parking lot. (Go to the links if you are under the age of 47)
My sister, works at American and they can fly standby. While they were in Florida she got out my aunt's great big kitchen scissors, you know the kind with the big black handle it's hard to get your hand around, took my mom outside and cut her hair. Then she took the scissors in the bathroom, propped her foot on the vanity with the door open and proceeded to cut her toenails with them. My aunt who is very proper most of the time was talking to me on the phone and was about to have a stroke. Most of the time when she talks about my sister it involves the words"Dear Lord In Heaven!"
Ahhh, family ya gotta love em, even if you aren't speaking to them. What good blog material.
Thanks for all the input on the MrP/last day of vacation story. I didn't have to sit him down and ask him what the matter was. I know him well enough to know. He just doesn't have the stamina he did, instead of a 12 hour day he can only work about 10 and he is starting to do that old people thing where good or bad you reminisce about all water under the bridge. Just kill me now.
Some of you old people out there have been asking me to increase my font. Is this big enough?
