Tis The Season

Well I thought it was, "The Season To Be Jolly!" But I guess I am wrong. People are driving like maniacs and being mean in stores. I have just been trying to stay out of everyones way but sometimes it is hard. And on the road I am not a slow driver but people are flying past me at 80 or 85 mph. So if I have to do anything more than get from point A to B I am going very early or at the dinner hour. The best time is around 5 pm. Either everyone is trying to get home or going out to eat. A woman ran a stop sign and got mad at me because I started into the intersection when it was my turn. She almost hit me.I wonder if she ever even saw the sign. She was pounding the wheel and shaking her head. I thought she was having a siezure. My favorite thing to do is laugh and wave. That really throws them off. Anyway, come on everyone. Let's have a little more kindness. I know this is hard but if you are thankful for something, anything at all, focus on that. Merry Christmas!! I am not taking the Christmas out of Christmas either. And please don't send me a petition to send to everyone in my address book or send me anything to send to 5 people or I will have bad luck. Or I will have hairy underarms.(already have them), or whatever plight is supposed to befall me.

I really like your blog tonight....LOL. It is so true. People are just in such a big hurry anymore they tend to forget the true meaning of Christmas (or anything for that matter). A lot of people I know thinks that they world should revolve around them. But boy, are they ever wrong.

Yeah...people on the road are nuts. And with our increased traffic since Katrina, it's even worse. I just smile and wave. And if you say Happy Holidays...I'm gonna tell you "Merry Christmas".

Puye Indian Ruins

The Indians have a huge entrance into this site. You have to buy a ticket just to go into the area with the information about the ruins that is right below it. We didn't go into the ruins but got permission to photograph the information you see here and the ruins from below. There were 150 school kids ahead of us and it would have been several hours wait. I wanted to get to the falls that day so we opted out. I have been to Mesa Verde (pictures here: http://tinyurl.com/64cdkn ) three times and it is my favorite. We have also been to Canyon De Chelly which is another favorite and I swear in Canyon De Chelly(pronounced De Shay) you could feel the Indian spirit there. Me: Gas company?  I want to make sure the new renters at such and such addy have gas on so I can stop it in my name.  Bill sent to this addy. My addy which is blah blah blah. Gas: No, they have not called but we can end your service, tomorrow, Wed. and send a final bill to your billing addy, gives addy. Me: Thank you Today P: I saw a gas guy out in front of the house as I was leaving and I smell gas. Me: Damn damn damn! Me: Ring ring, gas company, you shut the gas off at the WRONG ADDRESS! I think there is a gas leak. Gas: We will get someone out there but you have to call another number to start it up again. Me: You can't transfer me? Gas: No Me: Ring ring, I called about gas leak but they say I have to call you to get it back on.  You turned off gas at wrong address.  Explain explain explain Gas: After they check the leak we will have to set you up to get it turned back on and there will be an activation fee. Just some things I have been doing.  I don't expect anyone to understand it but it is a messy art mostly made up from junk around the house with some embellishments. I am taking a class for fun that is free on line.  Jennibelli journal workshop here . It's a ning site so you have to sign up somewhere to join if you are interested but this gal has a Youtube site with all her free videos on it. I started this project as a way to save all the old odds and ends pictures I have but it has become more about the art and allowing myself to be messy. It's all about taking old paint, scraps of paper and pulling them into some form of cohesion to express yourself.  And it's loads of fun.  Now if I just had more time in the day.
