ADD Alert!

I have decided that the reason I have so many ADD days is because, "I Just Want To Do It All, Y'all". I got up and sat for a minute with a cup of coffee. I can't do a whole lot anyway because Larry is walking around here humming or whistling. He is such a morning person and I so am NOT! One time he said, "You aren't a morning person, you aren't an night person? What kind of a person are you?" I said the kind of person that does really well after you get out of my hair. So once the wheels start turning in the morning and he gets me cranked up about something, off I go. My daughter stopped by at ten for my stroller. I have hers in my car which is in the shop which does her a lot of good. So since we each have one she came here for mine. Which is good for me cause I get to see Mr. Cute Baby and my girl.

It has been so cold here that I have been cooking a lot. I can't decide if I like to cook or if I just like to stand in the kitchen where it is warm opening and closing the oven door. I thought about making some Valentine cookies, but I make terrible looking sugar cookies. I did it for years and had a great time with the kids. I have cookie cutters for every holiday there is. They look ok before I frost them but after it looks like they were in an accident on 244 with a semi full of frosting. Let's put it this way I will never have a cooking show with my name on it. Speaking of, while I was running around here listening to the Food channel, Paula Dean came on. I just love that southern woman. She just cracks me up and she and those two cute boys of hers can really cook. Now that is a woman who brought herself up by her bootstraps. Then there is the little Italian woman who weighs about 98 pounds and eats through her whole show. How in the heck does she do that? Not eat any other time? Fast metabolism? It just really isn't fair. Then I decided to put a couple of small chuck steaks on with some carrots and potatoes and as my friend says, I am just kissin' myself because my dinner is ready. Then I made some three cheese tortellini, with some tampenade. Love that stuff. Wish I had some french bread.

In a mood to cook early then I got to looking at my ceiling fan decided that the globes on the lights looked kind of brown, so I took one of them off and decided it needed to soak. While I was waiting on that I have these swing out curtain rods on my back door. Decided I didn't like the swag I had on there and took it down a long time ago. Today I decided to take the rods down, beside the fact that they were covered with cobwebs yuk! Took the rods down which left holes, which had to be spackled, which had to then be painted, so as long as I was at it decided to use the new hall color on the doors, which will lead to that whole wall being painted. Ran over, washed the light cover, put it back up, went over the fan blades, got down another cover to soak. Ran out and got the painters tape, drop cloth, paint. Couldn't find the paint sticks. Last time I found them in the kitchen cabinet with the cereal bowls. Darn! Wish I had left them there. Finally found one in the front hall closet. The last place I painted. Stired the paint. My friend called, starting a new business and their computer at the new place froze up, and a file was missing, so I walked her through some things to try and fix that. Her computer was messed up because her son who is grown and really is ADD had been on it and changed all the settings. She says every time he gets on anyones computer he changes all the settings and preferences to how he likes them. How rude! But he also takes off and puts on programs too. Scary. I would have to banish him from the kingdom.

I got off the phone and I painted half the door. Then decided to get on here and whoops! There goes the day. While I was doing all this I changed the channel to AMC and the black and white movie Double Indemnity was on with Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck. I never could figure out why they always made her the femme fatale. I never thought she was that attractive. Anyway if you ever saw it you know that it is a fairly serious mystery but I just cracked up because old Fred met Barbara and there were sparks. The maid didn't like him and told him he could wait in the living room but the booze was locked up and he told her that was ok, he carried his own set of keys. Then Barbara comes down and he is coming on to her and she says to him hey! you know there is a speed limit in this state and he asks her what is it and she says 45 and he says how fast am I going? and she says about 90. Too funny.

I know, I know I sound crazy today and I didn't even take my vitamin. Well, I had to stop again, got all the light covers done and back up, didn't get the door done but I am going to work on that now. So I hope you all had a more organized day than I did. It would all be easier if I hadn't walked back and forth so many time trying to remember what I had gone to that area of the house for. I am going to have to safety pin a list of to do items and where they are on my shirt. Oh no! Just one step away from the nursing home.

You're hilarious, Red! Dang, girl...you know how to put your thoughts to paper. I love that about you. I know exactly what you mean about going into the next room and forgetting "why"...and I live on a blinkin' boat for goodness sakes...how many steps does it take to forget something...jeeesh! Well, I've spent many a cold morning hiding out near the stove. I know it well. I finally put a wood stove in and that solved all the problems...and that was living on a boat in Florida!!! LOL!
Much love, Red!

I love it that I can make you gals laugh. I have no idea where the safety pins are Slim,I only know where one little one is because I found it on the floor with the head bent after I stepped on it. We had a very small Carver, cabin cruiser, M, and I dug for stuff in there too. Hub says I just walk in and it's like a bomb went off in the place. Oh, Lynn, I feel for you. I am about halfway through that nasty business. Don't forget to take your sweat rag where ever you go. I can't tell you how many times my pal and I would look at each other and say, "Is it hot in here?" And tell Eric to walk in a crouch, because he will be ducking the potty mouth once you get in the real swing of things.

OMG! Your life really is a story! A really long story. One of those really thick, heavy books. One with a lot of plot twists and switchbacks. Keep the chapters coming, Red. We probably read faster than you type anyway! We can handle it.

Too funny DustyD. Thanks, I have plenty of stuff stored up in the old grey matter, and I am glad I can amuse so many. Hub is looking forward to the day it's over. Although he is actually falling in with this craziness and I think beginning to like it. A new adventure every day.
