Pepper, I either got this from you or through you from Linda I think. If you can direct me I will use the share link and post to everyone as a blog. I like it because it is well stated and easy to understand. So I guess I infringed on a copyright law.
This is the site for the US copyright laws http://www.copyright.gov/
Copyright Website for the web and other things-

And this one I found a long time ago and is my favorite-http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html
CREATIVE COMMONS
Creative Commons is a non-profit that offers an alternative to full copyright. With a Creative Commons license, you keep your copyright but allow people to copy and distribute your work provided they give you credit — and only on the conditions you specify here.
* Attribution License - This license allows you to modify content and to use it in both commercial and non-commercial spaces. The only requirement is that you credit the author with a link back.
* Attribution-NoDerivs License - This license allows you to use content freely in any context as long as you credit the author. It’s more restricted than a simple Attribution license because you’re forbidden to modify the work.
* Attribution - NonCommercial-NoDerivs License - This license allows you to use content with a credit as long as it's not modified and as long as you’re not profiting from the context of the content. Examples of such contexts would be: blogs displaying ads, inside products, online stores. In other words, anywhere it could be construed that the content helped increase your income.
If you’re not monetizing your space now but want to leave your options open, stick with the more flexible licenses above.
* Attribution-NonCommercial License - This license allows you to display and modify content in any non-commercial space with a link for credit. Once again, if you might profit from the space where content is posted in future, stay with the flexible Attribution License.
* Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License - This license allows you to use content in non-commercial spaces with credit. There is one extra requirement. You must link to the license page with the credit and the author. Share Alike means that you need to make available the license of the content wherever you use it. Here’s a link to the Attribution-NonCommercial-Share Alike 2.0 Generic license page, though you’d probably just link to it under (license)!
* Attribution-ShareAlike License - This license allows you to modify content and display it in any context as long as you link to credit, and the distribution license for the content. Here’s a link to the Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic License.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY A GUIDELINE FOR GRANTING LICENSING (PERMISSIONS FOR USE) OF YOUR POSTED CONTENT AND REUSING SOMEONE ELSE'S CONTENT.
YOU MAY DECIDE TO ALLOW THE "SHARE LINK" ONLY. Regarding themes and theme codes, you may wish to also DENY licensing for "sharing" purposes in your CSS Remarks.
