New Mexico

We went over Wolf Creek Pass which is a ski area and headed to New Mexico.

We left Colorado via Wolf Creek Pass and Pagosa Springs and on down into New Mexico.

We stayed in Espanola which is centrally located to a lot of things to see and do. There aren't but a couple of campgrounds in the area.

I dragged MrP away from the casino long enough to go into Santa Fe one day, to the Puye Indian Ruins which I will put in an album by itself and the Nambe Falls.

The Nambe Falls was rather disappointing. We had to pay ten dollars to go see it and the guy told us it was about a 15 minute walk. This was after he got our money. In reality it was about 25 minutes up hill in 5,000 ft altitude and then the falls were so far off they didn't even show very well with my big lens. I had to pay an additional 5 dollars to take pictures. But with camera banging on my chest I made it up and back down. MrP said he was proud of me. Down was much harder than up. Thank goodness for tree branches and large out croppings of huge boulders to hang on to.
