Time For Some Art Stuff
I have a ton of miscellaneous photos and some that my daughter took out of books years ago for class projects that I don't feel like putting back in so I have been taking old calendars, and old phone books and making them into altered art projects. I have done this mainly as a way to loosen my art. I have always been a structured artist painting in the lines. I have to work to make myself paint outside the lines. Trying to be messy.
The two photos above are my own. You put plastic bags between wax paper and iron it. You are supposed to layer them but if you don't get the waxy side down they tend to come apart. Thinking maybe it would be better to just pile up a bunch of bags and use the wax paper to fuse the bags all together. Or one site said to use freezer paper. Just playing around. Anyway, after you get them ironed you can cut them into shapes and gesso just to add another element to paper things. I did hearts and used my cookie cutters to trace around for some. Some I did free form. I went back and used freezer paper and it worked much better than the wax paper. Part of that was because the freezer paper is so much bigger and covers better.
I love the Scotch Quick-Dru Adhesive. It's my favorite glue for small pieces.
